This bass is super cool and very rare.
After tons of research I can’t find another one.
It’s definitely made in Japan, most likely in the 60s.
What makes it really unique is that its body is a copy of a Fender Telecaster Guitar (not the bass) and probably was subject to a lawsuit which would explain its scarcity.
As for its sound and playability this this is awesome!
This short scale beauty has a big P-Bass sound and is currently strung with flat wound strings.
The neck is comfortable to play, frets are good and sets up nicely.
Really cool piece of history and highly collectible.
